Let's talk: Child Molestation- (when should she learn to cover up?)

A nine year old girl is on her street playing and all she has on is  boxer shorts and nothing atop.

Mummy T scoffs when she sees her and expresses her disdain for the girl exposing her body at that age. Her opinion is that in the world we live today kids are supposed to be conscious of their body right from age 5 because of the high rate of molestations in the society right now...

I know a five year old who was molested repeatedly by an uncle about ten years ago. The only difference between now and then is that she was too scared to say anything about it then.

Daddy T is of a different opinion. She's still just a kid. She should be allowed to be one.. She shouldn't have to be worried about an adult's wrong decisions. An adult who molests a child is in full control of their decisions, their emotions and their logic. Its not the child who's just being a child; its the molester that thinks up the evil thought in his heart and acts on them.

Baba swears that little Dora winked seductively at him and that's why he couldn't help touching her. Dora is 6 years old.

Mummy T says if it was a decade ago it would have been safer for the young girl because the rate of molestation was lower. But really was it?

How about little boys?

When they get molested who is responsible for them? How can they be encouraged to be open when things like this happen to them?

Or is it that people are more aware and it's brought to the fore more often?

Abuse of any kind is disastrous and the more scary thing is that most times it has a domino effect.
